I hope everything works out, OA is my favorite fishing show. I love the way it show fishing, the galley and free diving. I have got some great dinner ideas from Chef David.
Mr Fischer,
I own a tackle company NE of Houston, TX. I build leaders and rigs for BIG Gamefish. Starting with Bull redfish and going up from there. In going for great whites, my ultimate shark rig should withstand the punishment. Just watched you lose a nice sword off cabo on 150# mono. 250-400# fluorocarbon would have gotten you your sword. Personally I think too much pressure was put on the fish. You got tail whipped. The end of your leader was not stretched, it was cut. The weird bumps you felt on your rod was the fins and tail slapping the leader. Looked like you had an accurate twin drag 50 2 speed. I would have gone with an 80. More capacity and therefore you could be easier on the fish. I'd be interested to know what the rig setup was. Would like to provide you with a few rigs set up for medium to very large sharks. I have built over 4000 rigs to date and have had NONE break or ever come back. What sets my rigs apart is the method of crimping I use. Its proprietary and 100% reliable. Will collaborate with your tackle guys if you wish on what you would like. My website is "http://double-d-extremetackle.com" Email me through the website and we can discuss further. TIGHT lines!

Chris,
So glad to see you found a home at Natgeo! I worked on building one of the last Elliots the "Don Juan". I lived in Cabo and worked as a Marine Electronics Technician during the eighties. I am a big fan of one of your other shows "American Gundog" I am the proud handler of a Small Munsterlander Pointer and was glad to see the show up in Oregon with that breed.
I have a place on the coast 20 miles north of Punta Colenett and look forward to retirement time spent there.
Best of Luck,
Esteban

Offshore Adventures is over but Expedition Great White will make its premiere during Expedition week, November 16th on the National Geographic Channel.
Really miss the show. Grew up in SoCal hanging out on the Balboa ferry and dead heading on the party boats as a teenager. With your expressions and general manner the show was a cool connection to the culture I grew up with now that I'm living elsewhere. Your adventures were part travel log, part fishing and were the only 'fishing' show the rest of my family actually enjoyed.
Thanks so much for the escape and all the best in your future adventures.

Hey Chris,
I know your loving the warm waters in San Diego area, but I'd like to invite you and your team to come up to the San Francisco Bay Area under the Golden Gate to the Mothball Military Ship fleet and catch some GIANT Sturgeon and Stripers! It would make a great show and your chief could prepare Sushimi. We could even set you up in the Captains Quarters on the Delta King in Sacramento River and go Steelhead fishing up the American River. You can tie up in Old Sac and I'll get Mayor Kevin Johnson or Arnold to give you a key to the city. To many things to do for only one show!

Saw the Ocean anchored in front of Medano Beach. My family and I took a ride out to see up close. It's amazing. We are looking forward to the new show.
I'm looking for a good charter. Any suggestions?
